Theodore Roosevelt National Park, South Unit

After breakfast at the Cowboy Cafe in Medora, North Dakota, we headed to the South Unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park for a tour of the Visitor Center, where we viewed a short film on the park and a museum on Teddy Roosevelt, and took a drive on the park's 36-mile loop road. We stopped a few times and went for short hikes.  During the drive, we saw lots of prairie dogs and two pronghorn deer, but the other wildlife - bison, feral horses, elk - remained hidden. The drive was very scenic and the park was well worth the visit.
