Dinner, no pie!

For dinner tonight, we stopped in at Ma's Place in Wakefield, Michigan, where for dessert we sampled not pie, but a slice of homemade carrot cake, which was delicious but no match for Clare's own homemade carrot cake! Then we headed to the Shannon Chalet in Bessemer, Michigan, where we are being hosted by our cousin Donna Greener.  Thank you Donna for wonderful accommodations which sure beat another night at the Days Inn (the Comfort Inn in Sault Ste. Marie was closed for renovations when we arrived there last night, Sunday, June 12, forcing us to stay at the Days Inn where the accommodations were, shall we say, less than stellar, with brown carpeting, better to hide stains, according to Clare)!
