Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit
Our last stop of the day, before heading to Medora, North Dakota, for our hotel and dinner, was the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, North Unit. I had originally thought we couldn't do both the North Unit and the South Unit of the park, but with the time zone change we "gained" another hour and we decided to venture north. We did not regret our decision one bit, and we now know why this park is #5 on The New York Times list of 52 places to go in 2016. The scenery was utterly breathtaking and spectacular. Conor called it "amazing" and Clare in her own understated fashion described it as "picturesque." And we also encountered a few bison along the way. We're looking forward to touring the South Unit of the park tomorrow before heading to Montana. I'll let the photos tell the story.
